2 EVENTS 4 SATURDAY

Seven Asaa’s LITERARY ARCHITECTURE is a collection of compelling literary chronicles about the global human experience… draped in artwork. A great advancement, expansion, and refinement of the ‘05 original, this production was a three-year odyssey to the intersection of ‘written artistry’ and ‘crucial artwork’. Each of its narratives is complemented by correlating and poignant artwork and photography. For more information, please visit the official website @ LiteraryArchitecture.com

This Saturday DJ Graze spins the best in Hip-Hop, Old School R&B, Funky House, & Rock. The event begins @ 10pm and goes till 1am or later. There’ll be $4 Dogfish Head drafts and $4 Grey Goose mixed Drinks. We’ll slide the tables to the side so you can shake your behind. Ya dig?

Friday, November 21st

Cassavetes has just completed their first music video, for a song titled Night of the Knife. The band would like to share it with you! Come to Octane on Friday, November 21st from 8pm till midnight for the Video Premiere Party.
As the song is a good old-fashioned murder ballad, and virtually straight narrative to boot, the video follows the story line; it depicts the last day and last thoughts of our unnamed subject (played by Marie Hansen), and the last actions of the man - in this case, also the Narrator - that decided it would be her last day. It’s a dark meditation on the limits and possessive power of love, and the transcendance of death through song. Or, alternatively, a fun song with which to sing along. As they say, everyone loves a good murder ballad. The video was directed and animated by Jason Drakeford; art directed by Martha Dixon; and wonderfully lit by Dan Hollister.
In addition to the premier of the video, there will be beer & wine specials, and the tunes played throughout the night will be those of Georgia bands. See you Friday!
